The round saw invitations issued across a range of occupations, including healthcare, education, engineering, trades, legal, science, and community services. Although the Department of Home Affairs has not yet released official occupation-wise results, invitation reports shared by applicants and migration communities provide valuable insights into which occupations received invitations and the points required to secure them.

As is often the case, the Department of Home Affairs does not immediately publish detailed occupation-by-occupation invitation outcomes. However, applicants and migration communities have begun sharing invitation results, providing an early snapshot of the occupations and points scores that received invitations in this round.

Invitations have been reported across a wide range of occupations, including trades, healthcare, engineering, education, legal, and science professions.
Carpenter, Glazier, and Wall and Floor Tiler were among the occupations reported with invitations at 65 points.
Bricklayer and Solid Plasterer were reported with invitations at 70 points.
Social Worker, Engineering Manager, and Electrician were reported with invitations at 75 points.
Several occupations, including General Practitioner, Medical Laboratory Scientist, Registered Nurse (Medical), Registered Nurse (Surgical), Petroleum Engineer, and Secondary School Teacher, reported invitations at 80 points.
Physiotherapist, Psychologist NEC, and Solicitor were among the occupations reported with invitations at 85 points.
Telecommunications Engineer and Telecommunication Network Engineer were reported with invitations at 95 points.
Chemist and Biotechnologist were among the highest reported occupations, with invitations at 100 points.

The 4 June 2026 invitation round was the final Subclass 189 invitation round of the 2025–26 migration program year. Australia’s new migration program will commence on 1 July 2026, and future invitation rounds are expected to be conducted under the 2026–27 program settings.
Applicants who did not receive an invitation in this round will remain in the SkillSelect pool, provided their Expression of Interest (EOI) remains valid. Candidates should ensure that their EOI details are accurate and up to date, particularly if they gain additional work experience, improve their English test results, or become eligible for additional points before the next invitation round.
